Politics

The seven wounds of Greece and the next day. Very interesting article by Prof. Nicholas Economides of the Stern School of Business, NYU. The article was originally published in Greek in the newspaper Kathimerini on May 5, 2019 and it contains a lot of food for thought. Here is an example: "Turkey attempts to re-establish the Ottoman Empire. Its major opponents are Israel, Greece, the United States, Cyprus, Egypt, .... . The solution is simple: Greece should establish the closest possible military cooperation with Israel, even leading to a treaty of mutual defense."

(Interesting book but marred by political bias. Greeks are likely to be annoyed right away. Jews may like it until they realize that the case the author builds against the Greeks is going later to be used against Israel.)
